What is Microblading?
Microblading is a form of Semi Permanent Makeup or Cosmetic Tattooing, where pigments are implanted into the skin. Using a hand held manual tool, a very fine blade is used to implant the pigment resulting in a natural hairlike look. Microblading is used to define and fill in sparse or thinning brows, with exact precision and accuracy. Cosmetic Tattooing with a mechanical device can be used instead of microblading for brows that have little-to-no hair left, creating the popular powder or solid brows.
How does Microblading work?
Microblading in Aylesbury takes 2, 1 hour appointments, and a topical anaesthetic cream will be applied prior to starting. A gap of 4 to 6 weeks will be left in between each appointment giving time for the pigment to settle into the skin before the second microblading treatment is carried out. You will experience some flaking and possible scabbing whilst your new brows are healing, but this should soon subside. As microblading is only semi-permanent, as is all cosmetic tattooing, your polished brows will start to fade after around 12-18 months, and at this point a one of colour-boost will be required to revive the brows, keeping them going for another 12-18 months.
